Overview

Clyqan.Box is being developed as a simpler way to send a personal gift to someone else.

The problem

Personal gifting can become fragmented across choosing an item, arranging presentation, finding appropriate packaging and organising delivery.

The product

Clyqan.Box aims to bring those steps into one clear service. Its broader ambition is to allow someone to send a gift of their choosing to another person through a simple online action.

The model should support local businesses and favour more sustainable materials and methods wherever practical.

Intended outcome

More personal choice with less unnecessary complexity.

Current venture

RallyCall

Overview

RallyCall helps people find and join local tennis matches at times that suit them.

The problem

Local players can be ready to play but still not know who else is available. Organising through busy group chats often requires repeated messages and advance planning.

The product

RallyCall provides a clear feed of available local games. Players can understand when and where a game is happening, who it is for and whether a place remains available.

The venture begins with singles tennis in Bournemouth and includes practical information such as location, timing and relevant weather conditions.

Less organising. More time playing.

Parked venture — not currently in active development

MyBins

Overview

MyBins is a council-branded mobile app built on a simple belief: great recycling starts with great communication. It tells residents exactly where an item should go, and keeps them updated on their local waste services.

The problem

Standing over a set of bins, people often guess. Wish-cycling — putting items in the recycling bin in the hope they can be recycled — is done with good intentions, but contaminated loads can end up in landfill, and councils field the resulting queries.

The product

Search for an item or take a photograph, and MyBins returns disposal guidance relevant to the local authority. Collection reminders stay synchronised with the live schedule, and residents are notified when services change or items become recyclable.

Where an item can be donated or reused, the app points to the nearest suitable facility. For councils, it provides a direct channel for educating residents on the waste hierarchy — prevent, prepare for re-use, reuse, recycle, landfill.

Intended outcome

Less wish-cycling and contamination — increased landfill diversion, lower call volumes, and stronger citizen engagement and reuse.
