1. Scope

This policy applies to CLYQAN LTD and all products and services it operates, including clyqan.ltd and clyqan.box.

It applies, where relevant, to directors, employees, workers, contractors, consultants, applicants, temporary personnel, suppliers and others working with or on behalf of CLYQAN LTD.

Its principles also inform how we research, design and provide services to customers, users and members of the public.

2. Protected characteristics

CLYQAN LTD will provide equality of opportunity and will not unlawfully discriminate because of:

Equality and diversity principles apply throughout recruitment, selection, terms and conditions, pay, induction, training, allocation of work, professional development, performance assessment, promotion, flexible-working considerations, discipline, grievance procedures, redundancy, dismissal and termination.

Decisions will be based on relevant skills, experience, capability, conduct, performance and legitimate organisational requirements.

Recruitment and selection will be fair, objective and accessible.

CLYQAN LTD will:

  • Use relevant and proportionate role requirements
  • Avoid unnecessarily exclusionary criteria
  • Assess candidates consistently
  • Consider reasonable adjustments
  • Avoid decisions based on protected characteristics unless legally permitted and objectively necessary
  • Seek to make opportunities accessible to people from different backgrounds

5. Disability and reasonable adjustments

CLYQAN LTD will consider reasonable adjustments for disabled applicants, employees, workers and other relevant personnel.

Adjustments may relate to recruitment, communication, equipment, technology, working arrangements, physical access, duties or other barriers to participation.

Requests will be considered respectfully, confidentially and according to individual circumstances.

6. Discrimination, harassment and victimisation

CLYQAN LTD prohibits direct discrimination, indirect discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment and victimisation.

No person will be treated unfavourably because they raised a genuine concern, supported another person’s complaint, provided evidence, participated in an investigation or asserted rights under equality legislation.

Discrimination, harassment and victimisation are serious matters. Where committed by an employee or worker, they may constitute disciplinary offences and result in action up to and including dismissal.

Where committed by a contractor, consultant, supplier or other third party, they may result in corrective action, removal from duties or termination of the commercial relationship.

8. Raising concerns

Concerns should be raised through CLYQAN LTD’s existing published contact method or directly with the Managing Director.

Concerns will be considered fairly, sensitively and as confidentially as reasonably possible. No person will be victimised for raising a genuine concern in good faith.

9. Training and awareness

CLYQAN LTD will provide equality, diversity and inclusion information or training proportionate to its size, activities and risks.

Personnel responsible for recruitment, management or material decisions will be expected to understand and apply this policy.

10. Inclusive service design

Where relevant, CLYQAN LTD will consider equality, accessibility and inclusion when researching, designing, testing and delivering digital products and services.

We will seek to identify barriers affecting different users and make reasonable, proportionate improvements.

11. Monitoring and review

The policy will be reviewed annually and sooner following a significant change in legislation, workforce, organisational structure or services.

Equality information used for monitoring will be handled lawfully, securely and with appropriate regard for privacy.

12. Approval

This policy is approved by the Managing Director of CLYQAN LTD and takes effect on 4 August 2026.
