How we approach the work
Solving a problem properly requires more than building technology. We must understand the people experiencing it, the system surrounding it and the truth of what can be improved.
Empathy
We begin with the people experiencing the problem. We listen carefully, examine where time, effort or uncertainty creates difficulty, and build tools that address the real burden rather than an assumed one.
Transparency
We communicate our position, evidence, uncertainty, limitations and trade-offs clearly. We are prepared to say what is true even when it is inconvenient, while doing so respectfully. Better decisions depend on everyone understanding where things stand.
Understanding
We investigate why the current process works as it does before trying to change it. Existing systems may contain necessary safeguards as well as unnecessary complexity. By understanding both, we can preserve what matters and create responsible avenues for improvement.
